Last night was awesome! I went to the swing dance and to the art opening. At the art party I got to read some of my poems to a group of people sitting around a campfire. Fire and poetry under the stars is a fine thing. But the highlight of my evening was earlier at the dance: My friend Birda who is a dance teacher had put the event together and since there was a shortfall of guys at the dance she had been dancing lead all night. Well I finally got to dance with her and she was beaming the whole time, but her smile when I dipped her at the end of the song was 10,000 watts of pure joy for both of us.
