Wise words from the fabulous Jeanne Bessette: “Every piece of art is always on it’s way to being great…you can’t get to great from the gate…you have to paint to be a better painter, you have to write to be a better writer, you have to dance until your toes bleed until you become a great dancer….sing off key until your voice becomes strong. Stop trying to make great art and just make art, work at it, learn from others, and go about the business of practicing every single day…then one day you will make great art and everyone else will think it comes easy to you….but you will know better.
