silent flight
eyes so bright
the queen of owls
winks at… hoo?

night so dark
branch and bark
your bough rustles
was that? hoo?

is she near?
cannot hear
then a whisper
for love. hoo?

now adrift
laughing swift
each night she’s free
above. hoo? —
