Swim with me

swim with me in a sea of four letter words
splashing the shores with sailor’s salt

stand with me clad in barnacles
and be woven into the arithmetic of the ancient reef

erode
and find yourself a billion grains of sand

and I too, a billion grains of sand

no longer separate
no longer separable

crushed together
in illiterate grace
beneath an ocean of four letter words —
