Something I wrote about four years ago that I felt like sharing again. Here’s the text if you find the picture too small to read:
We are legacy

Not one of us

All of us

We all nudge this human story

We all leave trails of joy or sorrow, rage or appreciation, creativity or destruction

And we march forward and tell stories and have stories told about us

We are the pendulum and the wheel

We are humanity and our stories will last only as long as there are tellers to share our tales

We may each only be a dot of punctuation in the grand text of history, but even punctuation matters!
We contribute whether we know it or not

We contribute whether we intend it or not

We contribute whether we want to or not

Because we are not alone

Not one of us

Not even the lonely

So I call to you with this my urgent plea

Gather your knowledge

Gather your intention

Gather your desire, your sorrow, your joy, your rage, your creativity and even your destructiveness

And meet them all with a hearty measure of empathy
Because with empathy we nudge kindness

Because with empathy we find our better graces

We are all of us

We contribute
