Some people like to quarrel
Some people like to fuss
Some people think its normal
To steal seats on the bus

But Sally Jo is different
She’s not cut out that way
She would not start an argument
It’s not her style of play
.
Some folks think she’s simple
And get cross at her smile
Angry like a pimple
They’re mean and full of bile
.
But Sally has a way she copes
A lesson from her dove
When people act like grumpy dopes
She’s learned to rise above
.
So if you’re prone to argue
She’ll ignore both shouts and screams
Sally Jo smiles above you
Drifting high in cloudless dreams
