Stick Your Neck Out For Love
Vulnerable is how you feel
With gnashing lions at your heel
But you won’t build a thing that’s real
Unless you stick your neck out for love
Become a turtle on your back
Expose every weakness to attack
Or you just might miss the thing you lack
Oh won’t you stick your neck out for love?
In the game of life the rules can change
You can’t avoid that things get strange
But one thing you should well arrange
Is that you stick your neck out for love
So if love comes, be brave, be strong
And risk that you might get it wrong
Even if it hurts to say “so long”
Be proud you stuck your neck out for love
And if perchance you get it right
You will know life’s great delight
And walk with love to time’s twilight
Because you stuck your neck out for love
