1) I was born on a Friday the 13th
2) I was a dancer in the pregame show for Super Bowl XXXIV.
3) I was a math major as an undergrad, but then I went on to get an MA in General Fine Arts and an MFA in Painting.
4) I have two sisters – I’m in the middle.
5) I worry more than people think I do.
6) I used to make beaded jewelry.
7) I’ve been a substitute teacher.
8) I have a birthmark on my left arm that used to be dark red and bulbous, but has now almost completely faded away.
9) In kindergarten I didn’t want to finger paint. Apparently I made quite a scene about it.
10) My favorite food is and has always been pizza.
11) I came to Atlanta to be the webmaster for a public company – that was in 1996 just after the Olympics were here.
12) the largest painting I’ve made (so far) is 128ft wide and 4ft tall. It is rolled up in my storage unit.
13) Thirteen is my lucky number.
14) my favorite color used to be green, but now it is orange
15)my girlfriend and I have been together for almost 14 years. We share the same last name, but we’re not married. Her first name is the same as one of my sisters. We met in Atlanta, but we both went to the same art school in Baltimore. Her birthday is also on a 13th. She had a pet bunny and many bunny collectibles before we met – although I never had a pet bunny before we shacked up, bunnies have been in my art off and on for at least 20 years. Her dad and my dad are both H. Cohens. When Julie and I first met her dad and I worked in the same building. His office was almost directly over mine.
16) I love kung fu movies
17) in 1982 I had my left ear pierced twice. I wear one small hoop earring sideways through both holes. I have no tattoos.
18) I ‘ve probably read Jonathan Livingston Seagull about 30 times.
19) In 1999 I was cofounder of a wireless startup that tanked. I lost money. It’s a long story.
20) i’ve always been a daydreamer. In grade school the teacher would sometimes physically shake my head to get my thoughts out of the clouds.
