Here we have my new book alongside its spiritual ancestor. The book on the left, “Oh What Nonsense!” is an anthology of wonderfully silly and sometimes subversive poems by a bunch of different poets and illustrated by the amazing Tomi Ungerer. It’s the book that first introduced me to Shel Silverstein’s work with one of my still all time favorite poems, “Beware My Child”. I think it was first grade when I got this from the bookmobile at Bradford Elementary and it set a deep and lasting impression that definitely helped shape my own creative approach. 😊👍❤️🐰 #lineage #coloringbook #coloring #myfirstbook #art #artist #illustration #tomiungerer #shelsilverstein #love #drawing #poems #poet #poetry #nonsense #doggerel @vikingbooks @shelsilversteinpoems @tomiungerer
