It’s just something I’ve noticed over the years, a lot of people tend to take on other people’s goals.
Goals given to them by parents or teachers, society or self-help books, business advisors, friends, etc. Whatever the source, if the goal isn’t meaningful for you, if it is something you are pursuing only because you feel you need to conform to someone else’s definition of your success, then it probably won’t be a lot of fun to go after, and it may not be very satisfying when you cross that milestone.
On the other hand, when you set your own goals, challenge yourself to reach achievements that are meaningful for you, that set you on a road toward expressing yourself and the unique gifts you bring to the world, then not only is the victory lap more satisfying, but so is every step of the path that gets you there.

"I adore your doodles... I swear looking at those bunnies lowers my blood pressure, calms my mind and makes me smarter. Who needs meditation when there are bunnies?"
