I’ve only recently met Marie online, but I was touched by her courage
and creativity in response to personal pain. She wrote recently in a
comment on her blog http://bit.ly/gKGjV5

“It also reminds me of the adage that I live by: “Kindness is a
radical act”, by which I mean that to be kind is always an active
choice that involves spending time and energy on another human – or
animal – being. To be kind demands that you shake off your
indifference – it is impossible to be kind and complacent.”

Then she asked me, “Can one be so bold as to request a doodle on that?”

Marie, I just hope I did something worthy of the sentiment.
